1991 - In 1991, Kostadin Penov formed KOSTEO which became one of the very first privately owned companies in Plovdiv,
Bulgaria.
- The company is named after the first three letters
of Kostadin and his son, Teodor, signifying a very special relationship between a father and his 8 year old son.
1991-1993
- Between 1991 and 1993, Kostadin used his knowledge and experience in the food and beverages industry and opened
a chain six food stands in downtown Plovdiv.
Emergence of a Market
Economy
1994-2000 - In 1994, Kostadin. Penov started importing food products from Turkey, Macedonia, and Serbia. Kostadin Penov expanded the wholesale and warehousing
business in all 4 city market centers with a total of 6 warehouses in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
2000 -2004
- Kostadin Penov has built the present company’s headquarters and shifted the
business in the commercial real estate construction, development, and leasing business.
International Business and Trade Development
2004-Present - In April, 2004 Teodor Penov graduated from Eastern
Michigan University, USA with a Bachelors in International Business Finance.
- In June, 2005, Teo shipped his very first container
from Newark, New Jersey to Varna, Bulgaria.
- Since then Teodor has traded
internationally cars, motorcycles, mobile telephones, and other commercial products, electronics, and household goods.
- In January, 2008, he has enlisted
in an MBA Global Enterprenuership Program at Florida Atlantic University, USA.
- KOSTEO is optimizing the knowledge of various industry fields and developing trustworthy business relationships while using reliable and cost efficient worldwide network of freight
forwarders.
